Made with 4-inch Kidrobot Munny with Sclupey clay then painted with acrylics.
Force Friday ended a month ago, but I'm still on the hunt for new BB-8 figures. It was also months since I last worked on painting a toy. With that in mind, I decided to just make a figure of my own. I tried to depict a little guy trying to cosplay BB-8.

Ever since I saw this little guy , I've always wanted to draw him and put him on a shirt... hehe. Good thing I had a little free time. Yay! Update: Finally was able to print this on a shirt! Every weekday am always busy at work, After work and weekends, am always busy with church stuff and other awesome things, but then Every Tuesday (or sometimes Wednesday) I would always tune in to an Internet Show ( /blog, according to the DTA's) that talks about toys. The show is called Toybreak, in which they feature Designer Toys, Action figures, Etc. I've been watching this show for quite some time now and I would always come up to their booth and see them at Comic-Cor or Designer Con. They're pretty awesome. And because they're awesome I made them a print! Yay! If you're watching their show, you'll pretty much recognize the stuff around them. So if you're not, then go watch them! I actually just came from Designer con a while ago and I gave them the print and I'm glad they liked it. :) Feels good to give out art, specially to people who love art!
Halloween is around the corner and pumpkins started growing everywhere. They magically grew on empty lots on every corner, they grew on random house gardens and they even grew inside grocery stores like Target and Ralphs.
I was hoping it would grow on our lawn, but they didn't, so I just decided to make one. This is the Pumpkin Kid (yeah, so creative with the name huh? next time I might make a banana with eyes and call it the banana kid) Anyway here it is. This is the first time that I made a whole head for a Munny. I found some shiny black beads for the eyes and I think it was perfect. This is a 2.5 inch Munny so the whole sculpt was roughly 3 inches. A little taller than a Dunny. So yeah, its been almost a year since I got married and I still haven't really posted more of the creative stuff we did for our wedding, so yeah, here's one of them.
I told my wife that I wanted to make our own cake toppers and she agreed. So I got two 4-inch munny's, sculpted them, baked them and painted them. We were so happy of what it turned out! I really don't watch Game of Thrones (yet), but my wife does. She's so addicted to it to the point of stalking George RR Martin last Comic Con. So as a gift to my wife (even though she really insisted that i'd do it for her and then she would just act surprised when I let her see it) , yes, I did a drawing of Jon Snow. (this is the point where girls scream) You know what they say... Happy wife, Happy Life :)
I always wanted to do a custom ThreeA piece. It was always a challenge to do weathering as good as an actual ThreeA toy. Anyway I believe I pulled it off and I was able to give justice to it. Whoohoo!
So here it is, I made a BumblebeeG1 inspired piece. I used an Armstrong WWRp for the custom. Follow up to my Mandirigma Series Dunnys, I decided to do a more complex one this time. I started with a face of a girl and then went into getting her a doodled suit. I love the direction that I took in painting this one. My progress was slow but I learned a lot in detailing.
So my Bumblebee collection is growing now and I finally thought that Its time to do a custom Bumblebee from the Transformers. As a big TF fan I always wanted to do this but never had the time and concept on how to pull it off, but that ends now because I was able to do it.
So happy because of all the Bumblebee collectors out there, I'm the only one who has this Bumbleebee ! yay ! So I made it with a 4-inch munny figure and the size was perfect, Not too big, not to small. Of course I had to do it with his G1 (Generation 1) version because that was his best one. |
